The DCS Configuration Manager was created to make the tough DCS life a little easier and help you with those pesky configuration files! The goal was to make you interact with the app itself as little as possible, as noone likes more overhead before you can go fly your sortie! Use it once, set everything up - done!

This mod replaces the Default Plane in the VR Hangar with an F/A-18C plane. The plane has some air to air missiles and fuel tanks. I also changed in the POV so you can see more of the plane.

To install:  Rename/Backup the sceneVR.lau file found in the DCS installation directory (for example: C:\Games\DCSWorld\Scripts\DemoScenes) to something like sceneVR.lau.orig and then place the sceneVR.lau file from the mod in that directory. Start the game and it should work.

This is a modification that alters values of shadow cascade(s) for better performance.

In practice, what happens when using this mod is the terrain shadows (outside-cockpit) being drawn as far as before, but with overall performance improved with quite small visual difference trade-off. The other benefit is that, at the same time, the inside-cockpit shadows maintain high quality in all settings (4096x4096 pixels shadow, though even that can be changed if really desired).

This package provides the necessary files to easily (and separately) download and install DCS 2.5.6 (its final Stable release 2.5.6.61527.3, March 5th 2021) from ED's official servers. Just follow the instructions provided with the download package.
